Welcome to my home on the Web. My name is Guy Hincker and I’m the owner of G.C.M. Construction. We specialize in basement remodeling. It’s pretty much the only thing we do. And I think we do a pretty good job at it.

I started G.C.M. Construction because I wanted to help homeowners in the northern suburbs of Chicago turn their dark and dreary basements into a place they could enjoy as a family. G.C.M. is a family owned and operated business. The name of the company comes from me (Guy) and my two sons (Chris and Michael). I want to build a business that they can work in as they get older. I think it’s important to teach them the value of hard work and doing right by the people you work for. So every job is very important to me.

  • GCM Construction is owned and managed by Guy Hincker. I oversee daily operations, design and contractual obligations on all my jobs.
  • We are centrally located in Riverwoods, allowing convenient access to my customers seven days a week.
  • I bring a sense of reliability, security, responsibility and professionalism with a touch of humor to every customer and project.
  • Our primary focus is on basement finishing and remodeling with the ability to handle other projects throughout the house.
  • I bring a career of experience in construction and design to my projects and customers.
  • G.C.M. Construction will work with the homeowner to design and layout the basement around the family?s needs and budget. We will also furnish cost estimates based on the design and any allowances as needed to establish an overall project budget.
  • Over the years I have established a professional and reliable relationship with each one of my trades men.
  • G.C.M. Construction will communicate with the homeowner throughout the project regarding steps to be taken to minimize dust and disruption to the home.
  • G.C.M. is a family owned and operated business. We understand that we are working for the family in their home. We will discuss as a team any ?Rules of the House and conduct ourselves in a professional and polite manner.
  • G.C.M. Construction will establish a start date that works with the homeowner and a timeframe for completion of the project. Work hours are typically from 8:00am to 4:00 pm Monday thru Friday.
  • We are properly insured and guarantee our work during customer?s occupancy of the residence. References are available upon request.
